There's no art better suited to our time, if you're looking for a way to stay healthy and calm your mind. Both Tai Chi & Qigong are considered "internal" martial arts, meaning they focus on energy and body mechanics to control an opponent. We practice them for health and well-being, for aligning body, mind and spirit. We also look at the self-defense applications of Tai Chi.
The slow movements require a kind of mindfulness, and help develop our balance and coordination. We specifically work on developing good crore strength and balance. And both Tai Chi and Qigong are low impact; anyone can practice, no matter what age or condition. In fact, it's particularly good for people with health challenges.
ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
We teach Wu style Tai Chi, the Yang 24, and more, as well as various Qigong sets, with a focus on health, balance, and relaxation. We make sure to enjoy the unique stretches and the artful, elegant movements of Qigong. Practice includes:
