MARTIAL ARTS FOR ADULTS & CHILDREN, NEW YORK
We're proud to offer a traditional approach to martial arts with modern flexibility. People of different skill levels and ages work together. Students follow a curriculum, working on specific forms and techniques from the Ying Jow Pai system, and are free to choose from a range of classes. Students measure their accomplishments with sash tests in our ranking system. Our fighting program has two branches: we offer a practical, modern fighting system and the traditional and sophisticated techniques of the Eagle Claw system including Qinna or locking hands. We show self-defense applications for all techniques.
Behind our curriculum is a focus on health, balance, self defense, and fitness, so your level of conditioning improves as your martial arts skills advance. Students can move beyond the basics and focus on traditional weapons training, fighting, performance, or the art of kung fu as a whole system for health.
We also offer tournament participation and training, demo performances, and teacher training.
Sifu Dario Acosta has vast experience in tournament fighting, and has competed in major tournaments in North and South America. We can train interested students for light contact sparring or full contact for competition. The fighting techniques we teach can be used for everything from self-defense to high performance competition. We also teach the more esoteric and stylized fighting techniques of the Eagle System.
Our classes present continual challenges at every level while building energy, confidence and power.
